MONARCH FREEDOM

“As I sit here, and oftentimes I wish I could be monarch of a desert land, I could devote and dedicate forever to the truths we keep coming back and back to,” Robert Frost, 1915.

Along scenic Rte. 125 in the Green Mountain National Forest, I find myself going back to it often. Attracted to the lush green trees, who forever want to be free from air pollution or greedy lumber companies. Drawn in to the flowing waters of life, the water yearns for the freedom from chemicals, waste, fertilizers, and careless humanity. The sacred soil upon which my feet walk upon begs to sustain life, while men extract its riches and abundance of ever-depleting natural resources for profit. “Half of our misery and weakness comes from the fact that we have broken with the soil. And, that we have allowed the roots that bound us to the earth to rot. We have become detached from the earth. We have abandoned her! And, when we abandon nature, we have begun to abandon ourselves,” Pierre Van Passen, a courageous and independent-minded Dutch-Canadian journalist. It is here in the forested mountains of any land worldwide, where if mankind is willing to sit and listen for the call of the Universal Omnipotent Being is where you’ll find the truth.

For a time, I rest in the grace of the world and I am now free, like a monarch. As a cool breeze whips through my hair this fine June day, I pause to watch the insects flutter and fly about. As the ultimate freedom of a Monarch Butterfly meanders about in the clear, blue sky above, we can bear witness to more of the essential Truth found in the pockets of paradise as shown by the Omnipotent Creator (Allah, Yahweh, God, Buddha, Nature). As famed architect, Frank Lloyd Wright has said, “I believe in God….only I spell it Nature.” As the Monarch butterfly or monarch of desert land spreads its wings in glory and freedom, it finds the Truth of this existence through multiple pockets of paradise shining through as a bright glimmering light of wisdom, knowledge, and most cherished of all – LOVE.

Love is the highest level of essential Truth! This is love for your Creator above. This is love for all of humanity. These loves go hand in hand, you can never have just one or the other. They are essentially one omnipotent love! If humans lack one, the other withers and dies in your heart and soul. You can only serve one master in life, and it is this love of both. The Truth of the universe is this love. You cannot say you love God, and run aimlessly about worshipping God in Churches, Synagogues, and Mosques; if you do not love people and the environment too. For disbelievers of a universal omnipotent Being, you cannot just love humanity and the environment if you do not love the Creator of all life forms. Both types of people have yet to find the Truth as revealed by God, especially through nature. The Truth exists ever so powerfully in nature, because within the God-created environment, the worldly distractions are gone, and you can sit and hear the Truth whisper through the trees.

As Robert Frost stated earlier, he makes the discernment that you have to be free like a monarch to be able to devote and dedicate ourselves to the Truths we earnestly keep seeking back and forth throughout our incomplete lifetimes. Many of us make the choice not to free up any time, or enough time to devote loving God and humans, let alone the gorgeous environment, which we are allowing our immoral politicians to kill. We even rally and support the death of humans, who we do not understand or know (Afghani’s, Iraqi’s, Colombians, Palestinians, Indigenous Natives, etc.). Call it selfish, call it indifference, or call it hate, ignorance, and foolish, yet all the same it is a lack of knowing the Truths of love in this magnificent universe. If you think your life is complete and satisfying by making a good living (economics), and by raising a family – then you are an ignorant fool. These words may seem harsh or cruel, but they are truthful and full of tough love for you, because I do care and love deeply you, God, the environment, and everyone. I even love those immoral politicians, like President Bush, Adolph Hitler, Saddam Hussein, President Uribe, Prime Ministers Sharon and Blair, and countless others too numerous to mention. I care and love the most vulnerable in this world, such as, and most importantly the largest group of people on this great planet – the poor! I care and love both men, women, and children equally. I love the gay and lesbians. I love all minorities, but especially the Indigenous Natives and the Jews, because they have been persecuted for centuries. I love all people, including Arabs, Asians, Latinos, Africans, etc. – all are precious and wondrous gifts from the Creator. I love all life forms from conception to natural death. No humans, regardless of what he or she thinks is superior to anyone else, even the environment. Anyone, especially the rich and powerful on earth, who does not truly love is a tiny speck of insignificance, who will perish from this world as an ignorant fool, and will never attain the Truth from our Creator or reach a fully balanced life towards nirvana.

We must as creatures of the universe free ourselves from the bondage and slavery of the free market forces, for it is an evil that will, and is presently destroying a majority of people and the environment. This is not my Truth! This is the essential Truth from the omnipotent source of all Light and Life. You would hear it too, just, shut off the radio, shut off your television, and take more moments out of your self-imposed busy, and hectic lifestyles to listen. Find a quiet pocket of paradise, whether your pocket of paradise is Central Park, NY; Lincoln Park in Chicago; Crapo Park, Burlington, IA; Everglades of Florida; Big Bend of Texas; Sleeping Bear Dunes of Michigan, or Acadia Park in Maine. Find your spot where you can be as free as a monarch, and continue coming back and forth to find the TRUTHS of the universe, which never changes, but remains forever constant. It’s the life-giving energy of love, so just look around yourself, it envelops all your heart, mind, and soul if you allow it into your life.

So, forever devote and dedicate your life for the essential Truth of love of the omnipotent Creator, humanity, and the environment on which humans sustain their existence. Share generously of your time, talents, gifts, and financial resources towards one another. Be the monarch, for which all people deserve freedom! Be an active advocate for all life forms on earth. It is a virtue in which we all must share, especially when immoral government interferes! Be a LOVER, not a KILLER!

Remember always to walk in a way that we only print peace and serenity on earth. When we are able to take slow steps peacefully and happily, not rushing about, we are working for the cause of Peace and happiness for the whole of humankind.
